For many years deaerators have utilized single cone spray valve technology.
This design valve produces a single, thin film, hollow cone spray pattern. While
the single cone design has worked well, it falls far short of maximizing water
surface area in the spray section of a Deaerator. Approximately 10 years ago,
Sterling recognized the short-comings of the single cone valve and set out to
develop a new, highly efficient, dual cone design.
After years of research, development and testing, we are excited to introduce
a revolutionary spray valve to the Deaerator market. Our new spray valve (US
Patent # 5,862,992) utilizes two (2) thin film, hollow spray cones per spray
valve assembly. The water surface area is increased by 71% in the spray zone,
making this section of the Deaerator much more proficient. And, best of all,
no additional space is required in the spray section of the Deaerator. This
allows installation of our valve in virtually any competitive model Deaerator
in operation.
